Games form Chess to Monopoly, Game of Life and Surgeon were used to test the impacts on the brain having not slept for the previous 49 bours. The results showed just how important sleep is in the short term in order for us to function effectively.
While a lack of sleep is increasingly seen as a badge of honour, particularly in the world of business, sleep is vital for us to function.
And it’s also a great excuse if someone calls you lazy for sleeping in too long – you can answer that you’re just ‘restoring your cognitive function to its optimum level’!
